Two Sides of the Same Coin

During my university days I recall doing all that I could to prevent myself from laughing out loud when bookish lecturers, who had never left educational institutions in their entire insular lives, would almost rhapsodise over Marxist theory. Well, for those that may wonder what amused me, here it is, a confession I have kept to myself for decades.

einstein_quote.jpg

My favourite Marxist quote which sums up Marx’s typically Jewish, materialistic, and sordid philosophy, is “ ... appropriate the means of production.” Few have challenged this statement it would seem, as I have never read or been informed of the thorough criminal nature of this scandalous advice.

So just how are impoverished, powerless masses meant to ‘appropriate’ anything, as those that own the means of production (or anything else) would surely not surrender their possessions willingly? Marx clearly implies THEFT, either by intimidation or direct force/violence, pure and simple. Now, how does that differ from exploitative, THIEVING capitalism? It DOESN’T! Fantastic philosophy Karl -- LOL! Let me know from your grave, when you think of something NEW.

It would seem that Marx could not free himself from baser materialist thinking, in fact, Marxism if analysed, is nothing but a photo-negative of capitalism, though the theme and underlying structure remains intact, only a shift in possession and hierarchy changes, which is of course entirely cosmetic, as nothing has really changed except the facade, ruling elites continue, as has been proven by history.

Fair dinkum, socialism, capitalism, communism, all end in elite rule, so what’s really new ideologically, sweet fuck all, it would seem? It’s similar to the American elections, we are presented with two versions of the same repulsive thing, a vomit or a turd, pick one and hope for a change, in your dreams.

Clearly no ideology is able to organise society peacefully and successfully, so isn’t it about time for radical thinking OUTSIDE the bloody BOX? Elite rule, as is clearly evident throughout history and TODAY is an abysmal FAILURE. Or would you care to challenge this obvious VERIFIABLE deduction?

Okay, another confession. The causative factor that prompted this piece was listening to a local ABC radio program, ‘New Ideas,’ which would suggest the content offers something really NEW; I caught it by accident halfway through, a Melbourne ‘academic’ (naturally) specialising in ‘globalism’ was speaking. Well, I’m now aware of why a dramatic decline in Australian academia has occurred and the resulting deterioration in graduate standards TODAY. I didn’t catch the academic’s name, but if I wish to bathe in meaningless semantic flower arranging I would pick up a book by Californian ‘new age’ pop guru Deepak Chopra, who has made $millions arranging flowery words and phrases, which mean absolutely NOTHING when analysed objectively.

Now before I am accused of being thick by wishful thinkers and space cadets, I would refer to my qualifications and ongoing demand for my specialist services as a semiotician and cultural/social analyst, but then I was the beneficiary of FREE education in Australia, which limited number of available classroom seats, filtered, by natural attrition, the most gifted from the less talented. The result of course is Australia WAS once considered a leading nation for internationals to send their best for post-graduate studies. Today, however, Australia has slipped dramatically down the international scale, and it is little wonder why, as education is no longer free for locals and our institutions are full of professional wankers. Though some institutions now specialise in the hope of attracting funds from the private sector, another direct cause of the rapid decline in standards.

Now people, I do not wish to dampen your ridiculous hopes and choices, you know that voting either Liberal or Labor would cure all our cultural ills. So now a favourite quote attributed to Albert Einstein: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Keep doing what you’re doing, people. Vote for Bib or Bub, and be sure to tune in to the ABC’s ‘New Ideas’ program, for pity’s sake.
